Signage - Getting started
« on: June 22, 2015, 08:30:46 AM »
Hello,
We are looking to do some digital signage and was wondering if I could get assistance.
Currently, we have implemented AMX/Spinetx, and honestly, it totally sucks.
I am looking to tear this system down, throw it away and start all over.

I am wanting to attempt to do this all in-house, I have perused the websites, and it always seems there is some limitation with the product that affects us.

So, if I had the TV's, computers and network where would I begin? It seems one of my stumbling block is a player that can break the screen up into sections so that different things are displayed in different areas of the screen.

TIA.

we can do all that and A LOT more... and it's all free.
I recommend you get a mediaDROIDX per TV and you will be all set ... and HAPPY :)

Thanks.
Just a few questions on this. Do I need a stupid smart phone. I never jumped on that wagon? Can I use a pc in order to do updates and signage changes. Can it do dynamic content? I also do not want to use the Cloud.

I think I am becoming convinced that for us, there is no solution.

rmorgan, This system is GREAT once you learn to use it. Very easy to use, but can be used for more difficult or advanced setup's!!
Try it!

Sorry, thanks for the help, but the cloud is not in my future. I am just going to tell the boss that he will need to find a "pro" to do this. I am old school. If I cant have it in house, then I do not do it. I will not put my eggs in someone else's basket.

Ok, but it still baffils me that when you were offered help by several others and I was even going to offer a non cloud solution for you, you would just give up. Please have your boss contact me and I would be happy to provide my services to get them what they are looking for.
