Integration with Micros POS
« on: May 28, 2015, 01:46:23 PM »
Hi,

Does any one have the experience on how to integrate Media Signage with Point of Sale (POS) system, specifically Micros POS? When the price is changed on the POS the digital menu price should also change and when the item is deleted from the POS the same item should be deleted from the menu board as well. Thanks.

we support both JSON and XML data feeds so as long as you can get that out of the POS, it will be easy to integrate real time data to the signage...

If this is possible, I am looking to do a POS system for a gas station.
How can I make a POS using your Digital Signage software? If there a Tutorial?

Thank you!

most POS systems expose the data in some format, normally XML or JSON, so you can just connect to that feed.
for example, let's say there is a file that gets generated anytime someone makes a purchase in the POS,
you can have a script that reads the file, generates XML or JSON and serves it over http, our SignagePlayer will connect to the feed and display relevant data on the screen.... well that's one way
