Migrating to DigitalSignage software
« on: March 23, 2015, 08:46:59 AM »
I have large digital billboards with PH10, PH14, PH16 & PH20 led modules.  Currently the software used is LED Studio and DB Star LED.  The controllers for the billboards can be seen here:
linsn[dot]net

I'd like to migrate to DigitalSignage but don't know how the get the software to recognize the hardware.

What should I do?

YES! I'm willing to invest on this to manage my billboards.

Thanks!

From what I read the mediaDROID-150 would meet my necessities.

Will it work on a 14H x 40W Digital Billboard? (Foot length)
Could you point me to tutorial, perhaps a video, on how to set this particular piece of hardware?

...and Thank you very much for the help. I tried the live chat but no one could answer me with a product solution.

As far as the digital signage is concerned the PC/Android device will give one VGA or HDMI display output. I hope all your LEDS are serially connected and takes one input from the PC. I would advice you to use Media players running with windows for these type of installs

As Anoop states, if the videowall is daisychained, it will work. Even though the Android specs might meet your necessities, go for the Windows version on such large installations. The Windows are capable to play more and is just more stable (my experience). I like to use Windows in enterprise environments and android in environments like small retail stores for cost effective solution.

Sound very reasonable.

Is there a way for me to try and get the software running on one of my billboards with my actual set up and hardware?
The walls are daisychained... but the presentations are fed to the cabinets through a led controller connected via an ethernet cable.

I went through some of the tutorials but didn't see one that covers this matter.

Please forgive my "Noobness" but I'm sure there are people out there who'll benefit from this post.

Thanks again for all your time and help!
