Distribute spots or timelines to specific stations.
« on: April 24, 2015, 08:54:52 AM »
Hi there,

I have another question concerning the distribution of spots/timelines to different stations.

We have a couple of stations. Assigned to them are different campaigns.

Is it possible to play (and manage) the same timeline in different campaigns.

For example: I don't like to edit every timeline in every campaign, when I have to replace a specific spot which is shown at more than one station.

Is my question understandable?  ::)

Thanks a loT

While not ideal, but it can work, you could simply copy the timeline/s from one campaign to another. Now you could also use outputs to have your stations play some similar content such as sharing a channel and yet also incorporating unique channels for any station. You can do this with mixing common channels too.

If you are enterprise user then you can create scene with collection component. This scene you can put it in the timelines that you would like to play in different campaigns. In the scene that has the collection component if you change the ads then it gets reflected in all the campaigns that have this scene.

Yes, thank you. The collection component works fine!

Now there s another challenge: the length of the timelines containing the collection (of resources).

When I edit the collection, by for example adding more resources, the superior timelines have to be adapted in their duration? Otherwise not all resources will be played or some spots will be repeated until the duration time is over.

Or is there something like an auto-stop-component which leads to the next timeline when the collection component has been played?

Is there another way to skip to the next timeline when the content has been played? Or do I have to specify the length of every timeline by hand?

I have not tried.. But you can try using the events ; enable the end event and give a event name for the campaign so that whenever the scene ends it starts with the new campaign

I don't think you can use events in a collection component.

actually you can, you can listen to events on collection and act upon them, move to next page etc... it's all in the video tutorial.

The only problem with this solution is that output does not copy with timeline (I paste it in another campaign and it's empty). Is there any way to make output unified for all campaigns as we don't need screen division and channels at all? Or maybe it is possible somehow to make a copy of timeline that contains output settings within it?
