EXE SignPlayer Logo and Name
« on: February 22, 2015, 03:39:45 PM »
The new EXE file puts a SignPlayer logo and Name on the desktop.

In true whitelabel fashion - is it possible to remove all DS logos and references in future builds?

Or -- at lease provide instructions on how to change the desktop Logo / Folders / etc. to the company name.

Potentially, this can be done with a script that DS provides as a separate program to Enterprise customers.

Thank you for your consideration

please post an image as I am not sure what you mean? are you referring to the icon of the shortcut? Signage Player is a generic term!

It would be nice to be able to change the icon to the company branding. Also the installed directory to read -
C:\Program Files (x86)\<CompanyName>SignagePlayer\
Or something similar would be nice. It'll help strengthen the White Label brand loyalty.

The icon on the desktop -- it is a logo for digital signage.com

With the 'air' version, you could opt out from putting the icon on the desktop. This is not an option with exe version

The folder for signplayer -- also referenced -- and referred to above.

While "signage player" is a generic term, it would be great if the name was something we could customize. I would use it with our company name and icon, instead of introducing the customer to a new icon and name.

Thank you for your consideration.

A secondard "enterprise" script might be able to solve this.

We too have the same issue. Any update on that would be appreciated?
It is essential for us to maintain a brand across all interactions with the customer. This of course includes the SignagePlayer.

while we can't support a dynamic icon due to technical limitation of compiling the binary, we may be able to change the icon, but what good would that do on the studio as the icon is already generic...

Dear Admin,

we do understand its Generic.. but we want to promote it as our product over all rather than just after logging in to the studio or the player. can we know how to change the icons and rename the studio and player applications for all software platform.

correct, if you are after a custom solution, go for StudioLite and StudioDashboard (coming in May 2016) ;)
