GPU, SWF and playback
« on: December 20, 2009, 07:28:15 AM »
Hi,
I'm trying to understand how to make the best use of the GPU that is in the ASUS eeeBox 1006 (ATI Radeon).  When I compile my Flash to SWF, I've tried using the different settings under Flash Publish settings, hardware accelleration (none, level 1, level 2).  Is there a similar option in the Signage studio?  Am I better off doing animation in Flash and exporting the SWFs to Signage studio, rather than using the "Scene" designer?
Thanks,
Mike

1. Hardware acceleration is ONLY supported for flv / mp4 videos which were encoded in H.264

2. You need to upgrade to the (still in) Beta AIR Runtime 2.0 (current release is 1.5)
