Mediadroid hanging at linux boot

I have two mediadroid 85 units that went down over the weekend. One hangs at the linux boot - screen with the 4 tuxes at the top, the other gets to the screen that displays Signage Player and hangs there. Other than getting them to reboot, I can't seem to get into the units with a keyboard or mouse. Does anyone know how to reset these units?

I had exactly the same a few weeks ago, but than with one of my own android players (4 tuxes at the top). I fixed this to reload the firmware and reinstall an Android image on the player. Had to use my desktop for this. After that, the playing is working fine.
