External applicatons not launching

I am unable to get any of the external apps to launch on the player that otherwise runs the signage campaign. I am running xp pro on the player . I there a security setting I or some other setting I need to change?

I was able to get external apps to launch afer update and restart. I was trying to launch virtual vcr and then tried firefox. Now all are ok. Noticed that Virtual VCR seems to need to have the "Use custom settings" box checked in order to launch with the settings in the profile.

After you update to 1.8, make sure you reboot the player so the new SignageController loads...
Let me know if this fixes the issue...
Also, which app are you trying to run ?

I have updated to 1.8 and external application won't work. I followed video tutorals to input app name as [C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe], command line as [cnn.com]. After starting SignagePLAYER, screen nothing happened.I checked and found SignageController unconnected.
I tried to find SignageController.bat at [startup] but could not find it. But I did find at [C:\Documenta and Setting\jameswu\Start Menu\Programs\startup]. How can I install SignageController and make it connected at Signage Player?

What happens if you run SignageController manually from:

c:\program files\SignagePlayer\win32\SignageController.exe

Does it connect ?

I don't know if it connected or not. However, after I clicked Signagecontroller.exe, it did appear a Signageplayer screen to connect but it showed the blank screen all way down.

What should I do next?
