Mouse shows on restart
« on: December 06, 2009, 10:47:13 AM »
When the XPe box restarts and the campaign includes an extended application whose screen division includes the center are of the full screen, then when windows restarts, the mouse is shown in the center of the screen.

Need a way to hide the mouse on no movement after a period of time and come back if the mouse is moved.

If you are using VLC, you can add this via command flag.
I will add this to the "To Do" list, so we will hide the mouse for external apps.
On our BLACKBOX, we run unclutter which is a Linux command.

For windows, try this (until we add something like it to our API)

Thanks. I think that will work in a pinch!

I just upgraded to the latest player version on ubuntu and the mouse pointer stays visible on the screen new. It didn't do this on the last version. I even rebooted the player to see if that would get rid of it but to no avail.

For Ubuntu, install:

apt-get install unclutter

unclutter will hide your mouse when inactive (it's part of our BLACKBOX)...
