I believe that you have to root your device, install a different ROM, and then use a program like Teamviewer 9.

TeamViewer doesn't require ROOT but it does require the user to be present to provide the ID and Password.
So far I've yet to find an unattended remote management solution for Android. Best we have is SignageController.

Logmein is one of the best remote app for desktops remote management even from android devices but there is not remote management tool for android

webkey (its FREE)... we put the app on the android device and can remote login from any browser and can do everything online that you can do with the device plugged in in-front of you. We have over 300 android devices running signage all with this app on them and no complaints yet...You can update signage, clear cache, add files, remove files, etc.. Requires root tho.

Wow cool! Was looking for something like that. Do you need a VPN connection to make it work? (does the player has to be in the same network?)

edit: this is really awesome, just installed it on my rooted Xperia S and i'm able to control it from my webbrowser. I only have to know it's IP. I am unable to give the device a nickname for easy acces from androidwebkey.com. How to do this? How do you manage to know all the IP's of your 300 devices, or were you able to give them all a name?

On the device app you can give a name for the device and in the configuration you can give username and password. Then using webkey.cc/devicename you can browse.
This is a wonderful app , I hope webkey survives and doesnt ask money like teamviewer :)

You might need to get a hold of webkey and let them know what urls you use...I had to due to them thinking the urls were submitted as spam...They were deleting them after a month. But now no problems, I submit the new urls to them and they don't block them anymore

When i try that i get an error: not able to register the username. When i go to webkey.cc they say the servers are down. Does it work with you guys? When I connect over IP it works like a charm! Really a great app.

It worked on webkey.cc couple of times it said server down but then it went through.

I keep getting an error. This is what I do:
Go to settings in the webkey app (on my mobile device).
Choose 'Nickname on server'.
Give my nickname (used multiple ones, tryed like 20 times. Still same error).
Than it gives me this error:
Not able to register the username on the server:
<html>
<head><>title>403 Forbidden</title></head>
etc.

Via IP I am able to connect though. It's working really great when connecting over IP, but I need connecting over nick. Else I have to enable a VPN with fixed ping on all the devices, which costs more time to setup.


EDIT: on another device I am able to set a nickname. Although, when I brose to webkey.cc/*nickname* it says the phone is not on. When I use the IP, it does work. I'm getting closer ;-)
