A few problems
« on: September 22, 2014, 08:37:25 AM »
Hello!

My name's Armando, I'm writing from a spanish startup, we have been working with Signage Player for a year by now. In general terms, we are satisfied with the program, nevertheless there are a few problems we haven't been able to get over. We have 50 stations, they're Intel NUCs, and they're Windows 7 Starter based.

1- Sometimes, some station unexpectedly doesn't start to play, it figures as "Ready" at its Signage Studio status, and it's showing our loading screen once and again. There doesn't seem to be a pattern.

2- Sometimes, some station doesn't download properly some content (.jpg or a .flv video), and it keeps being not displayed once and again.

3- When I'm working with the Signage Studio, sometimes it gets collapsed. It use to happen when I'm working with our timelines. To be honest they are long (about 20 minutes) and we work with a lot of videos. It also happens when you Save/Upload your work and, for whatever reason the internet connection is gone. I use to save my work often to avoid this problems, nevertheless "shit happens" and sometimes I lose my work and I've to repeat it.

We would be grateful for any help.

Regards, Armando

in about 10 days we will release a new version of the SignagePlayer for Windows 7/8 exe so hopefully you get better luck (never heard of any issues like you reported so just hoping it will somehow help).
For #2, could be related to slow internet connection? dropped connection?
for #3, please provide us with a video of the exact steps of what you are doing so we can reproduce it and get it fixed for you ASAP..

regards.
