Using SignageStudio 4.20.23 (Windows) & Android 4.2.2 & SignagePlayer 4.20.15/25

I'm looking to bash out a digital signage campaign in support of college ultimate frisbee and I'm running out of time. Love the DigitalSignage product and I can get most of what I want to work, but I'm running into all kinds of niggly issues that I suspect are bugs, but bugs with likely easy work arounds.

I'm using a Tronsmart GK525 Mini TV Box Android 4.2.2 OS Quad Core RK3188, but run into similar problems using a Nexus 7 tablet (4.4.2), and several other mini-Android systems running different version of the Android OS.

I'm running everything supposedly at 720P, and for slides I either use JPG or PNG and for video I'm using MP4 at 720p.

A few random questions:

1. How do I get a clip to play exactly the length of the media clip? Often I end up with a black flash, then another frame, and then it goes on to the next clip.

2. What is the best format for playing back video? MP4? FLV?

3. I have a few video clips that are compiled like the other clips, but I cannot get them to work.

4. Is there a way to "flush" the cloud server and reinitialize everything? I think I know how to clear the player cache, but that doesn't seem to resolve my issues.

Basically I'm looking for someone that has figured out what works and what doesn't so I can just flatout copy their setup.

Any help would be hugely appreciated.

Thanks so much for the help. Through trial and error I've gotten most of this to work. Now have another problem:

The campaign runs through the various timelines, but then won't repeat. The final slide is displayed, the screen goes black, and it just doesn't start again. I've tried wiping out the final timeline, but it still hangs. Is there some configuration setting that tells the campaign to repeat that I've somehow clicked? That really seems impossible.

I've cleared the client Android cache and that doesn't help.

One possible clue: restarting or updating the client through the station screen or project manager, results in the campaign hangs with a message, "Signage presentation will resume momentarily" but it never does.

Any ideas?

do you have a SignageController running?
Are you running AD-90 or AD-150?
