Player sticks on white box at startup
« on: August 19, 2015, 12:07:41 AM »
Morning,

We've currently got around 400 Signage Players through the estate
All running Windows 7 Professional, Signage Player 4.34.25, all devices allowed out via firewall, with the correct firewall access to the required internet servers.

All devices are scheduled to reboot each day @ 0600
However, of those 400, perhaps 3 or 4, when starting Signage Player, stick at the white box that would ordinarily show the station details, but it's just a blank white box and it sticks there.

I can remote onto the station (via Teamviewer), and so it's fully accessible via the LAN, but Signage Studio shows it as down.
Obviously the station thinks signageplayer.exe is running, so it's not a scripted check I can perform on that front

If I restart the machine, it then loads up absolutely fine.
The next day, when they all reboot, a different few machines will be affected.

Can anybody shed any light, or give advice on how I can maybe check it locally using a script, in some way? Or do you know of a bug, a fix? anything really.

Thanks,
Tommy
