Weather Incompatible with DNS Filter
« on: August 12, 2014, 06:34:20 AM »
Hey guys,

We're having an issue with the weather component on a network that uses a DNS filter.

Permitting weather.gov through the filter does nothing. No weather info comes through at all. Permitting the subdomain, forecast.weather.gov, allows HIGH, LOW, and forecast IMAGES to display.

However, DAY NAME, CONDITION, CURRENT TEMPERATURE, and CURRENT IMAGE are all still blocked. When the DNS filter is completely disabled, all weather fields populate with no issue. This indicates that there is another URL (subdomain?) in use. I have no idea what it is.

Please can Admin let us know exactly which URLs the weather component utilizes; subdomains and all.
