Signage Controller - Server: bind<> failed: 10048
« on: November 03, 2009, 07:55:54 AM »
Hi,

I've just installed AirPlayer on a Windows 7 OS running on a 64bit ACER REVO 3610 (Dual Core). All seems fine regarding the AirPlayer and the content is running well, but if I stop the AirPlayer SignageController will not restart it.

It reports:

Server: bind<> failed: 10048

Any ideas??

Hi Sean,

Thanks for the update. It works...sort of.  ;)

I've noticed that when I update the SignagePlayer with new changes, the Windows 7 Start Button (not the taskbar) remains in the foreground. I've made a few changes to the taskbar options such as "Use small icons" and "Never combine" taskbar buttons, and that seems to have rectified this.

I will keep testing and report any other issues.

Thanks again,

Yes, we need to test the app with Win 7.
So far we have been focusing on Linux Ubuntu (with great success I should add) and so we kind of left Win 7 and Vista behind.
We will go back and certify Vista and 7 in the next month or so....

Although we are starting to recommend Linux Ubuntu as our "favorite" platform, but of course will continue and support Windows.

David.
