Other players

Just wondering what people are using for players other than the ones media signage sells. What kind of pricing and quality also.

I just saw on linked in a player for 4k displays for $399 I believe the company was nuvola.

To bad the max res is 4096 through media signage I know that's 4 k but not if you wanted to make a 4k wall with multiple 4k displays

I'm using a "Shuttle DSA2LS" - very cheap!

Fanless and vesamountable design
Android 4.2.2 with extended signage options like hiding nav-buttons etc...

- Freescale i.MX6 dual 1GHz Cortex-A9
- 1 or 2 GB DDR3 RAM
- 4 or 8 GB eMMC Flashdrive
- Builtin WirelessLAN
- Gigabit LAN
- internal powersupply
- 3x USB2.0
- 1x mini USB2.0 (recovery)
- SD- Card slot (with cover)
- 1x RS232
- 1x Audio out
- 1x HDMI (1080p)
- 1x VGA
- AutoPower on option
- power failure recovery

Run's very nice...

That one is looking very good. What content are you playing on what resolution?
I use a RK3188 clocked on 1,4ghz quad core based player.
I use 720P (1280x720 / hd-ready) and it will get a hard time when playing a tickertape, mp4 video (not full screen) and some text (tickertape will go a bit more shocking than).
