When you press escape while the player is running you will get the signage player box. Then click the signage contoller to switch off you will get a dialogbox , close that dialogue box, In the signage player you will see that the signage controller is off. Now you can quit the signage player you will get into desktop.
After doing this the signage player wont restart. If you dont close the controller even if you quit the signage player it will keep restarting
