Weather Stats display "NaN" for Negative Temperatures
« on: January 02, 2014, 08:50:09 AM »
I saw this post pertaining to my issue: http://script.digitalsignage.com/forum/index.php/topic,1597.msg5455.html#msg5455

We've had this bug since we started using the weather guide. Did anyone ever find a solution for this? Can someone recommend a different weather data source that does not have this issue?

Thanks
K

I would also be interested in the status of this issue.  This time of year half of the numbers in my forecast scenes are "NaN".  The current temp shows up fine when negative.  Thanks.

I also have this problem.  Seeing as there are multiple people experiencing problems, would be nice to have a fix soon.

Two things I noticed to possibly help the programmers at DS troubleshoot this one:

When switching the format from Fahreheit to Celsius, all of the "NaN" data displays as "0" in Celsius.

When I was in Scene Editor and accidentally moved a component outside the X-Y axis area today, the component position displayed in Scene Editor was "NaN" as well. Makes me believe this is a formula display bug somewhere in the Digital Signage software, not a data error as someone pointed out in the link in my original post since "NaN" appears to be an error code similar to DIV/0 in Excel.

I found this link about the NaN error (replace xx with tt):

hxxp://stackoverflow.com/questions/17839634/javascript-2d-array-returning-nan

Appears to be an error found in JavaScript.

Since I'm not a programmer, I can't fix it. But I've forwarded more clues than Scooby-doo has up his arse.
