SOLVED: Android Will Not Login / Register New Player

SignagePlayer will check the internet connection, load the server selection page, and load the login / password page.

I enter my credentials and the app crashes. I know that I have to copy/paste the username because player loves to duplicate characters uncontrollably. My username and password are correct.

1.) If I leave both fields blank and hit enter, signage player returns the 'Invalid Account' popup.
2.) If I enter any characters in either field and hit enter, the app crashes.

SignagePlayer has been running exceedingly well on this device for a few days already. I am re-installing after rooting my device. Does root affect log-in?

This is going to seem remarkably silly however it has proved to be a reliable and consistent solution.

STEP BY STEP:
1.) Before opening SignagePlayer open another application and type your login username. COPY THIS.
2.) Open SIgnagePlayer, Enter your PASSWORD FIRST.
3.) Paste your Username.
4.) DO NOT LOGIN, let it sit for one minute. (sounds superstitious but login immediately crashes player, waiting gets you in.
5.) After your wait, Login.
6.) Congrats.

This is weird, but it works over and over. Any deviation from this ritual results in wanting to punch your fist through the screen. I've tried deviating from this and it never works. Following this quircky procedure logs me into every new player on the first try every time.

Hopefully this can be examined by the Development team.

This did not work for me. Still cant login to Signage Player. If anyone has an update on this issue please let me know.

it sounds almost like the device is slow and needs time to sync with cloud data.
if so, be sure to use a quad core Android device.
