MediaCLOUD or MediaSERVER
« on: July 31, 2013, 05:06:30 AM »
Hi!
We are a newly established company that wants to start offering digital signage in a small town.
We have a network of 40 TVs that we will manage. We wish we explicarais the technical and functional differences between using MediaCloud and MediaServer in this case.

Thanks!

If you use Mediaserver you will need the server to be located or hosted by you. This is helpful if you donot want the signage players to access internet or they are in the same LAN/WAN. This is an expensive solution.

It is advisable to use Media cloud to begin with as it is low cost and easy to handle . Only thing is that you would need internet connectivity for all the players.
If you need more help you can mail me , the id is on my profile.

If your data is not of a very sensitive nature, I'd recommend sticking with the Cloud.  A lot cheaper, and a lot easier.  We started with the cloud and then switched to the server.... wish we could've stayed with the cloud, but needed a more private solution.
