Display/Monitor Power On Checking
« on: July 25, 2013, 08:10:05 AM »
I need a way to monitor if the ACTUAL MONITOR/DISPLAY is actually POWERED ON..... right now I can see through the station view if the display in theory should be working and what would be actively displayed on the screen IF IT WAS TURNED ON... but if they screen is not powered on... that doesnt mean anything. If you could find a way to manage/monitor this functionality i would pay you easily double a month.... this is a huge headache for us and our network....

I would use the rs232 if you have the availability of the serial port. These can be found on most commercial grade displays. If not, you may want to see if you can lock out the external buttons and have the screen come on with a timer. I am assuming you are using Windows Players for this.
