Kiosk on Tablets
« on: July 13, 2013, 06:53:02 AM »
Kiosk in tablets are going to be highly in demand in future. Hope we can utilise our Android platform in a better way. Since the android platform works only well with the media signage products it is not helping in accessing these markets for which we need to look at options like :http://www.myopensign.com/opensign-platform
Can i see some light on this from Sean and Criley and others.

We do plan on optimizing for more Android flavors and the market is becoming less fragmented and so it's easier to do.

I am also looking for some (or preferably just one awesome working) suitable tablet to combine with this software. At the moment I get the android version working pretty stable on android 4.2.(2), but it is still far from perfect (not highly stable). It would be so awesome if MS would launch 2 tablets (different size) with their specially baked Android in combination with a European distribution (it would stop me from searching alternativs for sure!). But, since this is not available, does someone have experience with any type of tablet. This one should do well, considering its specs, I am going to try one of these in the near future (I hope I will be able to set the resolution lower, because full-hd on this screen size is just bullshit): :http://www.geekbuying.com/item/Cube-U30GT-10-1-inch-Quad-Core-RK3188-Android-4-1-Tablet-PC-Retina-Screen-1920-1200-2GB-RAM-16GB-BT-Gyroscope-314425.html It is also running android 4.2.
