mediaDROID-50 open browser
« on: May 15, 2013, 07:49:10 AM »
Good morning,

Is there a setting, script or app that would bring the internet browser window open as soon as the mediaDROID-50 is turn on? Im planning to have 3 screens  at a location, two of them would be working with MediaSignage software and one of them I just want it to be independent, like I mentioned as soon as the tv / mediadroid50 turns on it will automatically load the browser window so It would show a specific website in full screen

Thank you.

Brian

Maybe this works:

Install AutoStart app from PlayStore.

Set the Home page of the browser to the website that you want.

Set the AutoStart app to open the browser app.
If no browser app is installed, install the Dolphin browser to auto go to full screen and set the home page of website you want.

 :D

Thank you cloud for your reply! I will give it a try.

Last question, could you recommend a usb antenna to increase the wifi signal on the mediaDROID50?

Thank you!

I think any USB antenna will not work, what can really work is open and solder a new antenna directly to the motherboard.

Instead of messing with mediaDROID-50 you should be thinking about improving your WiFi signal
have a look into Wireless Signal Repeaters
