The best way to play a radio station
« on: March 17, 2013, 05:10:28 AM »
I did trey many ways to get a radio station to play and stop when a new timeline starts. And this is the best way that i have found.
  • Start by installing VLC on you player
  • Use ExtApp/capture and set ExtApp to custom
  • In app name you set the path to VLC (c:\Program Files (x86)\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe)
  • on the commandline you place (-I dummy-quiet --audio --volume=160 http://195.184.101.202/pop128)
This plays the radio station until the timeline loops but often you got a problem where you play the radio station two times. And that sounds too strange  :)

Therfor you place a ExtApp/capture with the lenght of 1 sec at the end of your timeline with the following values
  • app name (c:\Program Files (x86)\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe)
  • Commandline (vlc://quit)
This stops VLC in one sec. and the radio station playes with out any problems.
