MK808 - Jellybean
« on: February 20, 2013, 05:08:15 AM »
Can somebody confirm whether the signage player works comfortably with Android 4.1 (Jelly bean) on Mk808. I had read somewhere in the forum that signage player has problem with Android 4.1 . I have been using Android ICS and it works perfectly.

We are using it and it works fine.
You will need to download a few apps to make signage player boot up automatically on start up and another app to enable full screen.
I cant post links so look for the Full!screen TSorn and Startup Manger. They are all free.
The only issue we have so far is changing the bootup screen to our logo instead of seeing 'ANDROID' and 'Google TV' logos.
If anyone knows how, please tell .  :-\

I use android "ROM Toolbox" to change boot screen.

Thank guys.

Cloud, just wanted to verify if the ROM toolbox you are saying really removes the "Google TV logo". I know i cant do it with the free version. I was able to change my boot animation using Boot Animations.

Please let me know before i purchase the apps.

MK808 really works with me.

It really just changes the screen animation, the screen before the animation that appears for about 5 seconds, it seems that this screen can only change in the ROM.  :D

And... What ROM are you using?
Thanks!  ;D

Anoop, you need to mess around with the apps settings.
The black bar will go when you check one of the boxes in settings.
To remove the arrow in the corner, simply adjust the opacity to zero.
The only issue we have so far is with it not rotating to portrait view with our screens.
None of the rotational apps work and we've tried most of them.
Anyone know a solution let me know, but now we will settle for the media droid vertical model.
