Updating Android Player
« on: January 04, 2013, 09:38:32 PM »
Hi Guys,
I updated my Android player the app size is now 34.12mb in size in the Settings/Apps menu but in the Google Play store it is only 9mb? Wierd? Also the FLV video is now super slo-mo? Can I delete and reinstall this app, just like I would on an iPad or phone?

At this stage I would not be happy to place the unit at one of my sites, If I can get past these hiccups it would be awesome.

Please advise.

because the size you see under Settings > Apps includes the cached data, that's why.

Hi There,
thanks but you still haven't told me why the video is super slow and must I re install the app?
Are you guys experiencing no issues with the Anroid player? I would like to make mine work well.
If it does we will probably buy hundreds from Digital Signage

In case you have lot of players concurrently playing in a sub-account and if you are trying to use Mediadroid app on the same account it takes huge time for the player to get connected and also there is a delay. You can avoid this by creating another account and the difference can be seen .

Anoop - will that affect the video playback speed? Are you seeing a useable bug free product yourself or still have issues? I too would love to buy loads, but saving $200 a player when a truck roll to some sites might cost double that is silly.

When i connected it on a business that already had 60 players online, it was struggling to get connected keeps rebooting as it is not connecting , once it got connected i could hear the audio of the previous video and different video running, not sure whether the player is opening twice, in android you cant see the task manager the way we can see in windows. Where as with the same videos at the same time in the same device when i create a new business that does not have any players online it works perfect and gets connected instantly.

Thanks Guys,
These points may be valid but It is not practical to create another account at this stage just to accommodate this player. It must work as well as our other PC's for us to consider using it out in the field.
Thanks again.
