Power Saving & Reboot w/ Monitors

An Issue we are facing is that we need to set the monitor to turn on before the reboot or we get a 1/4 screen in the upper left hand corner.  If we could schedule the reboot each day instead of one time every day, we can control the on off time with just the power saver on monitors.  We have monitors in store fronts that have different open times and they have a fit if they walk in and the monitor is already playing!  I have chatted with support and this is a known problem.  I have checked this out with other media software and the problem doesn't seem to exist.  The screen should not need to be on in order to reboot.

I'm not sure exactly what's going on based on your message. You could as a temp fix run a black image on a timeline that runs in the morning until the store open up. I am guessing that you issue is that the monitor needs to be on to tell the player the screen size because it is auto dectecting it. So your monitor is on but showing black so it looks off.

One thing I left out, DigitalSignage is well aware of the 1/4 panel screen/monitor issue caused by reboots before the screen is turned on.  I'm not a programer or software engineer, I'm a very good software user (started with the first Commodore 64). I would just love to see an option of daily times for the reboot since they won't fix the 1/4 panel screen issue.

Ahhhhh, the C64. I remember those days. That was my first computer as well. Still have it as a matter of fact.

What do you mean daily times for reboot? There already is a time that you can set for a daily reboot.
