Kiosk shows blank screen offline

1.Kiosk timeline works perfectly when the internet is connected.
2.When the kiosk is running and the internet connectivity goes off during running the player plays properly.
3. When the kiosk is started without internet connection it shows blank screen. when the internet comes back it works properly.
I am using ver4.0.100

In few players running under digital signage mode we are finding that when the internet connection is disconnected and then the player is started it shows blank screen. At one place what i did was to run the player with the signage with internet and then remove the network connection while running for the cache to happen and  switch of the PC and then the switch the pc on  without internet connection ; it worked.
This is little dangerous because it does not happen at all the places and this problem started once we moved to the ver4.0 build.

It is tough to reproduce and cant be shown online as it happens when internet is not connected. I will try to take a video from the camera when it happens.

We have the same issue with the newest SignagePlayer version 4.34.35 and airVersion 3.6.0.6090 on Windows PosReady 7 (based on Windows 7).
Since days i am trying to get it working (in kiosk mode it has to run only one video then it has to go back to an swf-animation). With internet connection all is working.
I've also tried to solve it with the offline updater. After restart and with no internet connection, the player shows only the player starting window with title "SignagePlayer" and white content (no start, stop or import button).
Do you have updates on this issue? The customer is very upset, because we do not manage to solve such a simple task. By the way, we are an enterprise user.

Try doing this : When the player is running with internet, switch off the internet so that it keeps running offline without closing the signage player. Then you close the player and check if the offline is working

Thank you for your reply. We tried that several times, because we have already read an entry about it. But after rebooting the station without internet connection, the problem is back.

Were you able to manage the problem? Is it solved? And how did you manage to solve it?
I have the same problem. Actually, I am not able to use the SignagePlayer in Offline Mode. Is it possible to use it in Offline Mode?

Unfortunately not. I had to stop working with this solution. The support didn't help and i had no arguments in our company to work further with this solution (we were a paying customer)...
We had a lot of other problems with incorrect statistics, unusual behaviors, not translatable and so on...

We are aware that the current Kiosk solution is limited and does not work to our standards.

That is the reason we developed an entire new Interactive Digital Signage solution that is set to Alpha release this coming end of April, 2017.
It would be great if you could give the new Kiosk solution a try, it is 100% re-developed with a ton of new components, new framework, events and MUCH more!
