Network Monitoring
« on: November 26, 2012, 08:35:49 AM »
Hello Signage Developers,

I have just been chatting with one of your advisors who suggested I post my query/suggestion on the forum so you will hopefully pick it up and include it in a future update!!  ;)
As part of a network management team I need to monitor all of our user accounts to ensure they are up and running at all times. It is a laborious task to look at the 'stations' tab of every user to check whether it is running or not. With our network growing rapidly it will soon become unmanageable. I was wondering if it would be possible to create a reporting section that can quickly pull this info into an excel sheet or similar? Thanks!!

Whilst on the subject of monitoring, could anyone tell me if there is a network performance tool on the marketplace that allows you to manage PCs as nodes by monitoring the IP Address? I know Solarwinds does this but after a lengthy conversation with them it transpires that as we 'piggyback' onto our clients existing network or broadband connection their product would not work. My advisor at Solarwinds told me he had shared a similar conversation with a company in South Africa looking to do the same as me, so there must be a demand however small for this kind of service. I wondered if anyone knows of a solution?

Thanks all!  8)
