GPIO/Serial interface
« on: November 12, 2012, 06:39:38 AM »
Would it be possible for some sort of General Purpose Input Output/ Serial interface to trigger events/scenes/timelines/campaigns.

We are looking to integrate external interfaces for museums, customer information displays etc and require external inputs to our signage system. virtually all of the other systems out there (of comparable quality and feature set to MS) have either GPIO or Serial (or both)?

with the increasing demand for RFID and NFC technologies by brands this would certainly be a useful addition.

Early next year we will release a new Alert based system that can take events from any source (web based / physical / cam etc) and this will be ideal for your setup.
We expect to have it available in beta around Feb 2013. As part of this release we will expose new API calls and SDK libs.
