QR codes aspect ratio
« on: October 29, 2012, 01:57:59 AM »
Using the SignageStudio, when I insert the QR component and set the QR Content property, it is not shown squared.
What I have read about QR codes is:
The code consists of black modules (square dots) arranged in a square pattern on a white background.
Check the aspect ratio.  QR codes need to be square.  If your QR code gets its aspect ratio changed in your editing or printing process, it may not scan correctly.
Can you set the maintainAspectRatio ON by default?
I will be better for us.

Tested this, as far as we know QR codes doesnt have to be perfectly square, but some devices that doesnt have auto focus will have some issues reading the code.  You can always create a square screen viewer and assign the QR code to it, if you need it to be perfectly square.
