Schedules "custom duration" is not working
« on: October 19, 2012, 11:26:30 PM »
We are using v4.0.90 player on Windows XP machines, and we have have the below two issues:

- The Timeline is scheduled to start daily at 8:00 am and stop 22:00 pm (custom duration) but the timeline will not stop at 22:00 pm but 12:00 am midnight. Is it a bug?

- When the Timeline is stopped at 12:00 am midnight it will show the signage player status window and the status is "Playing". Is this normal behaviour? I thing the player status window should hide and the status should be "Ready".

Anoop,

I have the 2 Reboot settings as default and Reboot every day is set to 5 (want to reboot station every morning 5 am).
I have turned off all the 3 Reboot conditions but that didn't helped. The Power saving is None.

Any other suggestions?

Can someone from MS look into this? The custom duration in the Schedule is not working.

If you want the campaign to display blank screen from 22:00 onwards, please schedule a blank timeline from that time onwards. If you simply want the signage player computer to turn off at this time, setup a auto shutdown in power savings. The scheduler is designed for scheduling multiple timelines. If there is only 1 scheduled timeline  in the campaign it will continue to play that last scheduled timeline, till its sees something else scheduled.

Then the campaign should not stop at all of the custom duration is not working. But the campaign will stop and show black screen at 24:00 (midnight) instead 22:00 till 08:00. Is this normal?
