So the problem only affected the player and not the studio?

Hey Admin,

When we test the beta player.

How should the XML updating work? How often does it update?

So if the path is changed to a resource(swf file) in an XML file. Then after 60 sec., that resource will change automatically. Is that right?

Ok, Ive tested the beta player(4.0.97) with the fixed xml update.

It works! After 60 secs, the xml does update.

But, there might be a slight problem with how I'm using it.

What happens is, if I use an xml file to load a SWF resource that plays longer than 60 secs. The SWF will stop playing at the 60 sec mark and then loop when the xml refreshes.

The solution for this might be to have an option to disabled the 60 sec refresh, and have the user restart the player to update the xml. would that be possible to add that feature?

Actually this was fixed, but didn't release to public yet.
I should be able to post a private build tomorrow here....
You can test the private beta, download from: http://galaxy.signage.me/Code/Install/air/CloudSignagePlayer_d.air

Thank you very much admin. That's a great service.

Another issue that I am seeing is still the same issue with XML and RSS playing nice together. I updated the player to 4.0.97 and added my XML feed to a screen division. Looked like it was working in the Studio. Once uploaded to the player, the screen division with the XML component was blank. I then removed the RSS News component in which the XML player started immediately. Add the RSS component back in and poof, XML player blank again.

The XML component will update as soon as it reloads, so short timelimes or even putting the XML component multiple times on the timeline would force a refresh.
