Targeting
« on: June 01, 2009, 09:17:12 PM »
I am evaluating the use of the Media Signage product and was curious if the feature of targeting to a screen is somewhere in the upcoming features.

For example, I might deploy 20 screens in different locations and while most of the media files or "resources" would be identical, I might want a different JPG file or swf file to play at each site with unique information about that site.

I know I can accomplish this task right now by simply creating different campaigns for each screen and then assign the different campaign to each different station but that seems difficult to manage.

Is that a new feature, or did I miss where I could do that in the current software?

Thanks.

Yes, this is supported today WITHIN a single Scene.

Remember, an AIRPlayer connects to a Campaign > Screen
So lets say you make a Campaign called: MyBikeStore
and you want 5 screens in your store.
You want 2 screen divisions in each monitor to show the same content, BUT you want the 3rd screen division of each of the 5 monitors to show something else.

Simply create 5 different Screens (within a single campaign and within a single timeline), and have each monitor connect to the same COMMON campaign, but to its OWN screen.

I attached an image to better explain  the setup. Hope it helps.
This is VERY POWEFULL since it allows you to share common channels between screens but still have UNIQUE channel if need be...
If you think about it, it is VERY flexible.
