Android ICS Signage Player - how much space?
« on: May 23, 2012, 11:02:24 AM »
I've got an Android Mini-PC running ICS and signage player.  I do not intend to do anything too intense with my signs and I like the idea that for ~$100 and with little power I can get such a small device - its a single core device - so I don't expect too much.

My question is - how big of an SD card until my performance is optimized?  I am leaning towards trying to run with a 16 GB or even an 8 GB SD Card.  Will that be enough?  Does it depend on how my sign is designed?

I could also go out and get a 32 or even 64 GB SD Card or use some sort of USB storage solution (hard drive or second SD card) if that'll help.  I just want to know that I'm getting some performance benefit before I go out and buy a bunch of large SD cards.

I don't suppose the speed of the SD Card would make much difference.

THe size of the SD card wont affect performance in anyway. The space used will depend on the content you will be putting in the campaign.
