I have referred to a component like this on previous posts. I call it the "Playlist" Component. In my view, you would open up a playlist component (the system needs to be able to manage more than one playlist component) and add resources to it using an easy to manage list view. You should be able to schedule parameters for the resources such as start day, start time and end day. end time time, days of week and day-parting information. Also need the ability to schedule play length for each resource. After you create your playlist component, you drag this single component to the timeline and not have to worry about playing resources whose expiration date has passed as they would automatically drop out of the playlist.
This would really add to the flexibility of the MS system.
I can see some programming challenges as the length if the playlist component would be very dynamic and constantly changing but an interface such as this would be a tremendous advance in programing stations.
