2 or more HDMI signals from single player
« on: May 30, 2012, 05:32:21 PM »
We are currently in the process of transition our old digital signage system to mediaSignage using mediaBoxes.  Our current system in player run from a digital signage box out to a splitter that feeds 4 TV screens. We also have the same setup using DVD players with HDMI outs.  However, when we swap the mediaBox in there place, the signal fails to feed out.  I can get a signal if I bypass the splitter and only go to one TV. If I split the signal between two TVs on will have lost of noise in the picture and the second will just flicker on and off.  I take it there isn't enough power coming out of the Graphics board.  Is there anyway to get a better signal?

(just a side note, I have to use HDMI because the entire building was built with HDMI ports to all the mounted TV screens)

Try using an active HDMI splitter one that amplifies the signal and has is own power source.
