Display Recommendation
« on: May 11, 2009, 10:34:24 AM »
Hi Everyone,

I need to purchase some new displays and am looking for advice. I need reliable, industrials strength displays that can operate 24x7. Probably 46", but I might go up to 52". Currently, I'm using Samsung displays.

Any thoughts, recommendations...

Thanks,

Jon

Good question... lets see if anyone has input...
FYI, I think any LCD monitor will work fine... Lets see what others say...

If you truly mean 'industrial strength' at 52 inches then theres little between the makes - but expect to pay 2 to 3 times the price of a TV type display at that size (I'm in UK so prices wont mean much!). A better approach might be a more standard domestic screen, in an appropriate housing - obviously for a semi outdoor public railway station install its a different matter to a corporate reception area.

Hope that helps.

That is perfect thank you, I saw this but I have only edited menu modules so far and I thought that was something to do with the menu module and not which pages things display on.

Thanks a lot
