Cropping a website using HTML component
« on: January 08, 2012, 01:55:59 PM »
Hello

When attempting to crop a website using the HTML component the sizing cursors of the component to re size it are not available.
I try to click on the component and the hand cursor becomes active as when you hover the cursor over a link.

Hello,
Please review this: http://mediasignage.com/html/signage_video.html?videoNumber=HTMLCrop

Also make sure you are using the desktop studio not the web studio

Regards.

Hello

I am not sure what I am using ( Desktop or Web version ) of the studio. I just created my account and started using the studio.
Where can I read more about these two versions and when to use which ?

Thank you.

If you are logging to the studio using our website (clicking on the Login butto) then you are using web studio, If you have a shortcut of the application on you desktop  then your using desktop studio. To install desktop studio. 1st make sure you have the latest version of Adobe Air installed. (http://get.adobe.com/air)  then open our website and click on GET STARTED  all links for downloads are found on that page.

They are basically the same. Only difference is the desktop is an installed application based on Adobe Air, while the web version is based on Adobe FLASH using your web browser.
Unfortunately we dont have a document that will show you their differences, because they are almost the same in form and function. Only limitation i can think of is you are better off using the desktop studio when using html component in scenes,  and Mac users cant upload from web studio.
