Hi mate,

Hope you're well.

I did one SWF file in 1280x720px but it is not in the center of the screen (stage).

What are the appropriated dimensions of the SWF file for the Splash Screen?
or
How to align the SWF file with the center of the Splash Screen (stage)?

Regards
Kayo

Hey mate,

Thanks for that link, really apreciate.

I'd like to dig a little bit more. Televisions have a native resolution of 1024x768, what is 4:3 (XGA).

I will create a file in XGA and will setup the player (computer) for 720P to see how it goes.

have  a g'day.
regards

I need to update our reseller account as well with a splash screen .. your presentation will begin shortly ..

Since this message will show on all our pcs that have all different resolutions the tutorial does not make sense for my case.

What are the exact dimensions for the media signage splash screen?

I will just make mine with the same dimensions as I know that one works well. Even better if you could provide the source swf and I could just swap out the logo... let me know.

Thanks,

I recommend making a vector based swf file which scales to ANY size perfectly since it is a computer generated graphics and not a bitmap.

Hello,

So I made a vector swf file 1920x1080 and it scales nicely between 1080 and 720p since they are the same aspect ratio... however for some systems that are 800x600 it does not look so great - it pushes it way up to the top since that is nearly a block vs rectangle.

What resolution is your splash screen since yours seems to scale better when switching 720p to 800x600?

Then I can just make mine exactly the same size.

Thanks,

Andrew

Make sure you create a vector based swf and make sure it is centered in your Flash CS before exporting anchoring it to CENTER.

Hey,

What I've done is taken my vector logo ai file in illustrator, made art boards of 1920x1080 put it in the center with some text and just exported as swf. It isn't animated but that is fine for me.

But even in flash it asks you to make your document size... what should that size be?? The suspense is killin me!

Well I think I have got it

Basically 1920x1080 resolution works - Put the logo in the middle, then write your text close to the bottom

It will look nice when the aspect ratio is 1080, 720, 480 sizes and for the odd station that is 800 x 600 it will push it up a bit since the total graphic sticks to the top of the screen but will look fine overall.

At that resolution and layout, it pretty much looks like the mediasignage one.

So for anyone looking to make one I suggest using this unless someone else has something better.
