Advice on scheduler
« on: July 19, 2011, 11:28:28 AM »
I have been able to figure out most of this rather easily, but am stumped on using scheduler to do something that should be simple.

On 99% of our stuff it is generic videos that just rotate. But we now want specific greetings for mornings and then for afternoons to rotate in to the mix and occasionally a special message to greet a VIP client.

Right now I have a timelines for each video, then schedule them using a sequence.

What is the best way to accomplish this? Do I create a timeline that is the exact duration of the combined videos for mornings and then another for afternoons, then put them inside a scheduler campaign? I could then create a timeline for VIP's and give it a higher priority during the period they are to arrive.

I would appreciate any detailed input.

Hnmmm .... I guess either nobody knows or they think it is a dumb question. Either way, I still don't know the best practice.

Correct, use the normal timeline and use the priority to ovveride when you want the specific timeline to take precedence.
