Pulling images via url out of a CMS system

Greetings MediaSignage world!

I'm currently researching a new Digital Signage system for our High School and I'm excited by what I've learned so far about SignageStudio and SignagePlayer. Our current system (one that I inherited) uses expensive proprietary hardware along with an antiquated server system. I can't wait to switch!

So, currently how our system works is that images are pulled out of a specific directory within our web server that is run via a CMS (Expression Engine v1.7.0). I upload images via the CMS (or ftp if I wanted), then I can "open & close" images based on dates and times, etc. Essentially turning them off and on as needed. The signage system just pulls and updates based on what's available from the directory.

In SignageStudio I've tried to add a resource (url) and have put in the correct path. It doesn't seem to pull the images in, is that because each image needs to be loaded up individually? Or is there another workaround that I can't seem to find?

Okay, i did discover that there's a swf file running within that page, now I have it linked correctly, but I'm still not getting any images to show up within the resources.

Our current signage system uses this one:
newbielink:http://www.nocca.com/index.php/Digital_Signage/library/ [nonactive]

The actual swf file is at this url directly:
newbielink:http://www.nocca.com/images/signage/library.swf [nonactive]

Here is an easy fix for you:

1. Use the SignageStudio DESKTOP version
2 drag the HTML component to the timeline
3. double click it and for the path enter:  http://www.nocca.com/images/signage/library.swf

I tried it and it works fine...
