No Video playback on intel compute stick
« on: May 09, 2021, 06:08:41 PM »
We run several different windows and android players with fullscreen video however i've come to use a couple of our old intel computesticks and the timelines load fine however only the static content plays. Any sections with video are just black screen.
The videos play fine on all other players and the computesticks can play the videos fine if i load them in VLC or similar.

I know these aren't powerful devices, however im sure they should be up to a few seconds of video.

Also checked all firewall ports are open and connection to the server is fine.

Any ideas?
Thanks!!

is the unit running Intel Atom or Celeron? both processor class are not recommended for its performance issues. what you can try is to recode the video to use the following codec setting:

Video: h.264, 24fps, 4mbps, 1920x1080 max resolution
Audio: acc, 44khz, 176kbps

You can use the application called Freemake Video Converter from: http://www.freemake.com/free_video_converter/ and recode the videos. if the issue persist, we need to know more about the processor model used.

best regards
